i think i may have a problem
so, i was just trying to organize my bag. and if you know me, you know i'm a very low-maintenance girl. i like wearing sneakers and jeans. my favorite places to shop are cheapy stores. i don't own a blowdryer. i don't really wear anything on my face other than moisturizer. i carry a little cosmetics thingy around but really it just has my powder stick and eyeliner in it. and i pretty much never use those, either.
but... but. apparently i carry around an obscene amount of lip products on a regular basis. i got issues, man.
found in my purse this morning:
- Christian Dior Addict plastic gloss #434
- DuWop Lip Venom
- Ramy Rise & Shine! Lip Gloss, in Shut Up & Kiss Me
- Lancome Juicy Tube, in Berry Bold
- Wet & Wild MegaBrilliance Lip Gloss, in clear
- Blistex Herbal Answer lip balm
staring at me on my desk are these:
- Vaseline Lip Therapy Advanced Formula
- Kiehl's Lip Balm #1
and i just know at home i have stashes of several other shades of juicy tubes, a couple of pots of rosebud salve, about 12 different drugstore lip glosses, three or four more ramy glosses (but! i only bought some of them, thank god for fun free products), a spare lip venom, and maybe two or three or seven lip stains and those herbal tony & tiny glosses.
i guess it's a relatively inexpensive indulgence ... but seriously.
pledge to self: i am not buying another lip gloss until 2008.

you definitely have a problem. since i'm obsessed with counting pennies these days, watch this:
10 designer lip glosses (and we know you have more though i'm making them free) x $12 = $120
+
10 (i'm being nice) drugstore lip glosses x $4 = $40.
+
3 functional lip stuffs like balm and salve x $5 = $15
TOTAL LIP STUFFS = $175 = the price of a pair of designer jeans. Holy Crap!!
omg. i'm going to be the old lady that lived in her gloss. omg!
hahahaha. that's ok. at least you'll have nice shiny lips.
how effed up is it that the first thing that came to mind was jeans? how about something like...$175 = 30 meals, or $175 = 3 phone bills? lol...
or 2 cable bills ... or 4 mornings worth of freelance work ... or almost a month's worth of fresh direct! seriously. never buying lip product again.
you have definitely fed my habit (yay thank you yay). berry bold remains one of my favorites ... and has been replaced once already :)
